During our investigations, Scenic looked like a more flexible and yet "all-in" package. We spent absolutely nothing more than the fees paid up front, and at ports of call we were free to participate in their great guided tours or venture out on our own with their terrific little gps doodads. Even e-bikes to lessen the effort, were provided.

The cruise director, Richard, was fantastic. Always available and quick to look after whatever our question was. The service staff were exemplary, doting over every need. And the food was as good as any high-end restaurant...from the breakfast buffet thru to the sit down served dinners. The daily/nightly entertainment was enjoyable and the dance floor was never empty. The special event, the classical concert in the Rastatt Palace was the best event of this kind I have ever attended. The intimate venue meant we were almost participating in the concert. We're already planning our next cruise...perhaps the Seine.
