Have not done western med. wanted a cruise company with friendly staff. The staff were exceptional, except one. We chose aqua class, blue restaurant used throughout. The food has changed since using millennium in 2015. The food is not healthy eating now, but overall it was ok but some dishes same as San Marco. The staff in blu were exceptional. Although the ship has had a refurb in places it was difficult to see where. Cellar masters was very dark and gloomy. We are now elite cruisers and the free extras were very good. Ocean cafe staff were excellent. Staff was fairly good. Entertainment was up and down. Juggler was very good. Cruise destinations were good but did not use Livorno as a long way into Florence or Pisa. Excursions from ship were pricey. Used hop on hop off buses, excellent value. Gratuities were ok but did not like steward touting for a tip. Overall a pleasant cruise with exceptional weather. Lacked activities on board in respect of lectures etc and no formal evenings as such, but we knew that formal evenings were no longer
