We went as a group of 6 women (aged between 33 and 59) on a girls weekend cruise. For myself this was my 5th cruise and my first on a celebrity X ship. I have travelled on both Royal Caribbean and Carnival.
The Room: Sunset Veranda (aft facing balcony room) 7358.This room is an interconnecting room with the Sky suite next to it. They are not interconnecting in traditional way of having a door that connects the rooms via the common wall. This room has a completely separate entry hallway that you use your sea pass card to open, then you use your card to open your individual room. The room itself was big enough for the two of us that were staying in it. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows need to be replaced, if you can fit your own in I would recommend that you take it. The bathroom was a great size and the shower was larger than I had on any other ship so far.
Embarkation: This process took for ever. The cruise before ours have a gastro outbreak so there was a delay in boarding that we were notified about, so a complete clean could be conducted. This whole process took over an hour from entering the international passenger terminal, going through on boarding and security. This cruise did not go anywhere so it did not include customs process, which should have made the process quicker. When I previously travelled with Carnival and Royal Caribbean this has only ever taken 25 minutes from entering to boarding while having to go through more on-boarding items. This whole process was very disappointing. When we boarded it was after 4:00pm and even at this stage the rooms were still not ready. We were not able to get into our rooms until just before muster was to happen.
