This is the first RCL cruise , we've done most other ship lines eg Carnival, Norwegian, Princess, HAL, MSC. The ship itself was excellent, and the cabin was larger than the other ships. Surprisingly, the food in the main dining room was average, with the meat items below average; would have rated it a 3 if not for the beautiful ship. The annoying thing was the constant upselling of their specialty restaurants, reminded several times by our waiter about the special package " 5 specialty restaurants for $$"; also one night got a upsell talk from 2 staff from the Izumi restaurant after our main course in the main dining room. All this begs the impression that the food in the main dining room was purposely done not so good to encourage people to go to the specialty restaurants? Another annoying tactic was surf and turf was never on the menu in the main dining room for dinner, but we accidentally had it in the Windjammer at dinner one time!! why? All other ships as far as we know, serve that in the main dining room at dinner, and we can see the menu before hand; there's no menu for the Windjammer.
