We chose this cruise because it had a historical aspect to it. Also, because it was a much more relaxed cruise line. We didn't have to dress up every night for dinner. (no jacket and tie required) All of the tours were very informative, with guides that were also very entertaining. The food was delicious and unending. Plus, the wine was constantly flowing. Loved sitting on top of the boat and just enjoying the beautiful scenery. The staff were always available and provided us with whatever we needed. We chose to stay 2 extra nights in Paris and the accommodations were fine and conveniently located near the Metra.
Besides issues with meeting up with our transport at the airport everything else went smoothly. When we finally did find our transport, we still had plenty of time to make the orientation and board the ship. We would definitely sail with Avalon again.
Our cabin was extremely comfortable. All of the amenities were provided and restocked daily.
