So to start things off on the wrong foot we went to dine on the first night only to be told because we hadn't made any reservations that it would be in our best interest to eat in the Windjammer buffet. While I understand that my trip had been locked into the My Time dining plan I recalled being asked what time we would prefer to eat and gave 6:30pm, but that for some reason never registered. Not saying that the food in the Windjammer was any worse than the food in the main dining room (as we later in the trip learned) it lacked some of the nicer items found in most of the other free dining rooms (lobster for example was not to be found). The stateroom we were in was average (and as often found small) but who goes on a cruise to stay in the room anyway? The bathroom was also small however the shower was reasonably large for the size room it was in. There was one elevator out of service the entire 9 days we were onboard making it a little bit more difficult to get where you needed to be on time. Several of the onboard events we wanted to attend were either scheduled at the same times or were so close in time (and far in distance on the ship) that doing them all was out of the question. On the last night in port (in St. John, NB) kept us until after 10:30pm which caused only a few of the bars to be allowed to serve alcohol reportedly due to Canadian law, which made it very difficult to get drinks (why not leave port early and allow all bars to open, or would that have allowed those who bought the unlimited drink package to actually drink as much as they paid for). Being in the last to leave the ship group I did find it very pleasant to not run into major issues even though for some unexplained reason we came to port one hour earlier than scheduled.
Did see the whirlpool caused by the changing tides but unfortulatly we were there during slack tide.
