There were a few good things to mention about this cruise. The staff was very friendly and helpful...especially the wait staff in Imagination restaurant. We elected to eat here at night because their other restaurant reminded us of a cafeteria. We want to especially thank Jose and his staff for being so accommodating, and Lorinel who went out of her way to welcome us every night. We also enjoyed the day at Half Moon Cay. They provided a wonderful barbecue lunch for all the passengers. The matre di Metin was helpful when we had comments about the loud music in the dining room.

The negatives about this cruise far outweigh the positives. I will mention only a few. The ship is about 30 years old and shoves it. The room was tiny...smallest we have ever been in. Crewmen were constantly sanding and painting areas while we were docked....the smell was awful. The shows at night were very mediocre. The cruise director Kevin seems to prefer loud rock to soft music. One show feature a juggle who was very good. Kevin's acts were all about trying to embarrass the audience member. The comedy acts were good but too few. The upper deck food stations were too few and very common foods were prepared.

Elation should be dry docked and updated. Alternatively it should be sold or scraped.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6E

Tiny. No chair...only a small vanity bench to sit. Bed was comfortable and steward accommodating. Bathroom very small...shower adequate. Closets adequate. Window filthy outside. Cabin had a safe.
