I/we have been on a dozen cruises, 3 or 4 with Princess. I choose cruises based on location and value, not loyalty programs Value does not usually mean least expensive.

Cabin Review

Oceanview (obstructed view)

Cabin OW

Initially booked inside cabin along with the rest of my group but opted for obstructed view cabin when offered just weeks before sailing. I researched carefully and got one with good view over top of lifeboat. Chose one ( of the few available) immediately over what I construed to be the quietest lounge - Wheelhouse. No reviews of this cabin mentioned noise being a problem and we were delighted to find no noise problem at all. I don't know how they soundproofed it but it is a thousand times better than Norwegian Star when I was lecturer and got a free but terribly noisy view cabin above a bar.
