Rhapsody of the Seas Cruise Review by chris2pher

Trip Details
  • Sail Date: Oct 2017
  • Destination: the Eastern Mediterranean
  • Cabin Type: Interior Stateroom

Small pool, cold pool, itinerary scrapped, spent too much time at sea, small cabin on deck 2 - very noisy through the night. If you don't get the drinks package you get weak cordial to drink, not even a coke, shows were naff. Whole ship's guests had to queue from 3hours onwards on check-in. NO time to see Venice whatsoever. Ship as a whole has had a nice makeover however the rooms did look a little dated. Drinks package expensive if you spend time ashore. Excursions expensive. Wifi package expensive. Go for a cruise where all is included - you don't feel like the poor relations onboard then. We stayed in a 'stateroom'! whilst the bed is a good size the size of the room is hardly stately. In fact it has about the size of a single axle caravan. One band was good, but the other band was really annoying - who wants week long calypso music during a Greek island cruise. This was our first cruise, booked a year ago, not as good as I was expecting. The ship didn't have as much to do as I was expecting, we found our way round after only a day - I recommend you go with a larger, more modern ship. Not embarking in Venice (you get no time there). Although the staff were fantastic and food good although we didn't try the extra costly alternative restaurants. Try another cruise line. Make note of the low ratings in these reviews - after spending a week on the Rhapsody of the Seas I now agree with these poor reviews.
