Brand new ship on its second trip. Beautiful ship and very comfortable. The staff was new to the ship and many were new to their jobs but they worked very hard to make the trip pleasant. Overall our party of 4 were very pleased with the staff, most of whom were either from the Phillipines or China. All of the new staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy the interaction between the cultures. Most of the Chinese were young and very friendly and very polite and eager to please. Shipboard experience was great!

This was our fourth Viking cruise and first on their small ships. The only advice that we four travelers can give is DO NOT USE THE VIKING AIR SERVICES -- BOOK YOUR OWN FLIGHTS. We have used the Viking air services twice now but never again will we be so stupid. The first time we were forgiving and just wrote it off as a one time bad experience, but now that we used them twice, Viking proved to be totally a bunch of idiots. They choose bad schedules, bad airlines, and have zero flexibility of choosing good seats or getting upgrades. Houston to Toronto was on a small jet, and Toronto to Athens was miserable on Air Canada with no movies whatsoever, poor service, crappy food. Can you imagine 9 hours on a boring flight with no movies; we have been to Europe many times and never experienced no entertainment to pass the time. And, our party of four was booked on different flights with differing schedules as well. Overall a bad experience both leaving and returning to Houston -- NEVER AGAIN.

Cabin Review

Cabin veranda

Cozy but comfortable and very nice. No complaints at all.

Port Reviews

Venice

The ship was late getting into port because of bad fog so we got only to spend about two hours in Venice but from what we experienced we were not impressed -- far too crowded with mobs of people and vendors hounding us to buy their junk.
