If you're looking for a slightly different cruise experience, this one offers it. Halifax is a great town, Saint John and its tides are fascinating, and Bar Harbor has great charm. The 5-day length of this cruise is a great choice when you're looking for a more focused cruise.

I thought the entertainment on the cruise was very good, particularly the bar pianist, Danny. The movie selections were also thoughtful and diverse.

Interior cabins were fine, and had a surprising amount of storage space. They were kept clean and neat.

Port Reviews

Halifax

Fabulous. This is a location where several days could be spent. Lovely nearby towns, great museums, wonderful history, contrasting and interesting architecture, great variety of restaurants.

Bar Harbor

Quaint and charming. We did a local tour of Acadia, and that was fantastic. Great food in town, and a good variety of shops.

Saint John (New Brunswick)

The town is small, but the City Market is really interesting, and there are some lovely shops. The old graveyard and the churches are wonderful to see. But the big selling point here is the Bay of Fundy meeting the Saint John River and the river flowing upstream that results. Timing matters here: you need to be able to see this unique phenomenon. Luckily, we did.
