My husband and I took this cruise from Fort Lauderdale for our honeymoon. The original itinerary changed unfortunately due to the hurricanes which was out of Carnivals control. It was switched from St Marten, St Kitts, Puerto Rico and Grand Turks to Princess Cays, Ocho Rios, Grand Caymen and Cozumel. When we got onto the ship our bags took about 3 hours to come to our room so make sure you have your bag with your bathing suit, sunsreen etc if you want to go for a swim while you wait or you can grab a drink and wander around like we did. We had a balcony room which I would recommend if you can afford it, it made the room feel bigger and it was nice to sit out on in the morning or evening. Our room was always clean, we put out the "do not disturb" sign at night and would remove it in the morning whenever we were leaving, some days we spelt in and they would clean the room later in the afternoon. There is a safe in the room which we used to store our passports and jewellery in. There is a lot of closet space surprisingly in the balcony rooms. One thing I wish we brought was a power bar as there was only ONE plug in the room so make sure you bring that. The hair dryer was in the room but it had very little power just FYI. The beds were very comfy and the rooms actually got pretty dark which we loved. We were on the 7th floor which I was told to stay on from a friend who cruises a lot, its not usually the best for noise to stay on the level right beneath the lido deck (which is level 9). I would also try to stay in the middle of the ship if you get sea sick. We got a bit sea sick on one day when the waters were very rocky due to weather so I would bring the sea sickness patches/ non drowsy anti nausea meds just in case. We liked the breakfast buffet and I would recommend checking out the brunches on ship days for sure. We ate a sit down meal every night instead of the buffet, just as it was our honeymoon and we liked that option better. I would HIGHLY recommend going early to sit down meals on the two dressed up nights as the wait time is much longer. If you want to wait less you can choose to be sat with other people sharing a table. The meals at the Black Pearl restaurant were great, you had the option to try as much as you wanted, sometimes we split a few appetizers as they were small to try different options. The wine at the meals were pretty regularly priced, about $8 a glass. The cocktails were a bit more around $10 each if you didn't buy the bottomless drinks package that is. We really enjoyed the comedy shows, **make sure that you go to the comedy shows at least 30 minutes before** it gets very busy very quickly. We really enjoyed playing the Quest game, this game is certainly only for adults! There were two fancy evenings on our cruise and some people really really dress up, tuxs and ball gowns. I would say that men should bring two dress shirts, ties and a suit or sports jacket for the fancy nights and some kind of nicer dress for the ladies. To warn everyone the medium priced WiFi was VERRYY slow so if you like your phone I would really recommend getting the best one. We ordered a bottle of vodka to our room and got the bottomless bubbles which helped with the costs of drinks. Beers are offered 4 at a time in a bucket for a discounted rate which we did by the pool. We booked one night to have dinner at the Pinnacle Steakhouse as a little added treat and we loved it. It was only $30 per person and the food was amazing. The presentation was beautiful, if you can afford this I would do this for sure. Just so you are aware, tips are added to all drink orders on the ship, a 15% gratuity. I would check on your bill every two days or so just to verify that all of your items are correct and to make sure you aren't spending a lot if you're trying to not go crazy! The coffee shop on the 5th floor made great coffees so I would check that out. The karaoke was a great time and the mini put on the very top of the ship, level 14 was fun :) After the shows we went to the Red Carpet Dance club on the 5th floor a few nights, I wouldn't go until at least 11pm as it is usually dead until then but the music was fun and we danced a lot. The pizza station is open 24 hours and it was our go to place late at night when we wanted a snack.

We loved the excursion that we booked in Ocho rios, we went on the safari Jeep cruise and climb of the Dunns River falls. The 8 seater jeep was great. The drive up the mountains was bumpy due to road conditions but it was really nice to see the small towns and all the beautiful vegetation. We stopped at a coffee plantation and the tour was amazing, Kenneth Black, the tour guide was great and we got a small snack of fruits, water and rum punch. I would bring a little snack with you because its not very filling but the fruit was delicious. We bought some of the delicious coffee, the beans were $25 a bag. We then went to climb the dunns river falls which was amazing, make sure you bring water shoes. Your clothes will get very wet if you climb in them, there are lockers available to use. We had a great time on this excursion.

Happy travels!

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We went to the Royal Palms beach when we got off of the ship. There was a public beach but it was supposed to be very crowded, no chairs or umbrellas. We took a 5 minute cab ride to Royal Palms beach, It was about $5 each to enter and it was so worth it. The beach was very clean, the water was STUNNING. It cost $12 to rent a chair there and $30 to rent an umbrella, which is a lot so if you only wanted a chair that is fine too. They have a big bar and restaurant there, restrooms, outdoor showers. The food was awesome and the drinks were delicious, they will serve you in your beach chairs. I would recommend bringing your water shoes as the first bit of getting into the water is quite rocky. The water is so beautifu, it was a lovely beach.
