Celebrity Constellation Cruise Review by Norwaylady
- Sail Date: October 2017
- Destination: Western Mediterranean
- Cabin Type: Aqua Class Balcony
We are a couple in mid 30, so compared to the rest of the demographic onboard. We are on the younger side. But we like it, we go early to bed and like to have one glass of wine together whit good food. We are not party-all-night fans, so what X gives us, fits us perfectly. We flew in to Barcelona a day early. So had time to walk around for some shopping and sightseeing.
This cruise, we celebrated 7years wedding day. It was so nice, they had posted a big card on the stateroom door and we had a cake whit candle delivered to dessert on the day. It was so nice. It is just a really nice thing. It is all in the details.
We did not expect anything. Since we celebrated 5years wedding day onboard Equinox and we did not receive any form for knowledge of the day.
This time we had gone all in compared to earlier. We had a aqua class cabin, well kept. The cabins is very similar to the ordinary cabins. But the shower has more jets and you have access to persian garden and Blu.
The food in Blu is very our cup of tea. Lots of salads, fish, seafood and vegetable. It tasted really good and we were taken good care of. If we can, we will do Blu again. you can really taste the difference from the MDR.
We had some lunsj in the buffet and aqua spa. Lots to choose from, but on the millennium class, the lay-out of the buffet is long and you must walk all the way around to see whats on.
Service in bars and cafe al bacio were good. They help you as fast as they can, overall quality in drinks and presentation is good.
Entertainment is very personal. Some like it, some dont. This cruise it was change of the cast in production shows. So it was nice to see some familiar faces from earlier sailings back on the stage. They did 2 shows onboard. We seen them before, so we are a bit tired of it. But the cast did a good job.
The guest entertainers on this cruise was very good. We had a really good time on all the shows performed.
Live music around the ship was good but not the best. We had better music last cruise... The string due was not the best on the seas. We prefer some of the others we have had before.
It was the 3.sailing we have whit cd Rich Clesen. He do a great job and we like him. Hope to see him onboard again in the future.
As for activities, it was actually missing some details. We actually feel that is was missing something from day to day. Normally we never feel the need for this, but on this cruise it was to little on the meny. It not a big deal for us, but still. It could have been a little bit more offers/activities. It felt like the activity team was one step behind every day.
After the short dry dock in may, Connie has a big screen back on deck 12. They show one movie a day. The selection was not great. It should have been a movie and something else every day.
Ports of call in this cruise was some new and some old ports for us.
Corsica was one of the highlights. It is very nice, docks in city and the water are crystal clear.
Would we book another cruise on X and or Connie? Yes

AlicanteThe caste is located on the top of the mountain. it is possible to walk to the top, bring good shoes and go out early before the heat is to strong. Nice beach close to the dock. So great after a tour up and down to the castle.View All 81 Alicante Cruise Port Reviews

Cinque TerreWe was picked up at the pier in the morning and had Lisa as driver and guide. She did a super job during the day. We took the ferry, it is worth the 24euro ticket. The view is so nice and i gives a great sight of the areas.View All 87 Cinque Terre Reviews
GibraltarWe went to the top on foot from the port. It is steep, so you must have physics to be able to walk long steep distance. We went all the way and meet apes and took the mediterranean steps on the way. It is a nice view, but you must be able to walk in stairs and uneven ground.View All 723 Gibraltar Cruise Port Reviews

AlcazarTour picked us up at the port in the early morning. It is 1,30-45 to drive to Seville. In Seville it is beautiful, lots of old houses and lots to see. It is a long day and lots of walking, but is is worth it.View All 14 Alcazar Reviews
