We chose the Freedom, love the ship. We had early dining with a wonderful waiter, Jay Narain. If you have the opportunity to request him, he is great! Always smiling, great attitude, couldn't have asked for better! The Beatle group was very good, Ben Mills, classic mix of songs was great and Hector with his magic was very good! The ice show was wonderful, you have to get there early or you will not get a seat!

We did not use any tours through the ship. First, let me say our tour guide in Naples was fantastic! He is Ciro with TaxiMister Cab Driver Naples and Amalfi Coast. We couldn't have had better. He was there waiting for us at 7:30 am, jumped in his van and took off to Sorrento, a beautiful town! Don't miss it, plus the shopping that is where you want to shop! Fantastic prices on everything! My granddaughter found a clearance of Italian boots, her size for 5 euros! My daughter wasn't happy lol! She also bought a jacket, you can shop until you drop from aprons for 3/5 euros, tshirts 10 euros for good ones, hoodies for 15 to soap, everything. The town is lovely, we could have stayed all day. Then, to Pompeii, jaw dropping experience and good shopping after. From there we went back to Naples and made several stops that were not on the list. We had time and CIro wasn't in any hurry! He is also a great singer! He took us to a small local Italian restaurant, very good! Around 5:30 we said we need to go back to the ship lol. His prices were great and will take you anywhere! He goes to the farthest first and then back! Rome, this is another story, 500 euros to get to the city. We had tickets for the Vatican, so no wait, that is correct, EXCEPT when we got in there were a million people in there and you couldn't walk! After an hour half we left. We did see the Trevi fountain close by and the coliseum. Pisa was great, we hired a driver by the ship and the churches there were beautiful, also good shopping. We took a bus for 1. 50 euro to Monte Carlo, a very busy city. That wouldn't be our choice again! In Toulon we were there on a Monday, most everything closed. In Palma de Mallorca we were gone all day, lovely day! We went to a museum/castle and to L' or de Mallorca wonderful this was a long way from Palma, it was great! At the castle an old 20 something car pulled up with a wedding, beautiful! That whole day was great. Just hire a driver from the pier. You can walk in Cartagena to the museum, coliseum there with no problem. Euro's are a lot cheaper off the ships! The morning we got off our flight was 10:30 that Royal had made for us.

We had our cabin steward change our luggage tags to number 1. We walked off at 6:45 got our luggage, taxi immediately and off to the airport. No problems! Heard so much but with getting off so early we beat all of it! This was a wonderful trip if you have any questions just message me! Love Royal, Freedom and for sure would love to go back to Italy, not so much Rome!

Interior Stateroom

Missed our balcony we usually get but with being off every single day but the last we chose the inside. We would leave so early and get back in time for dinner.
