Wanted a northeast cruise in a specific time frame. Regal Princess fit that requirement. I've sailed Princess four times, 10 total cruises. We flew into LaGuardia (which is a mess) using Princess Air and booked a hotel airport. The hotel helped us get transportation to the ship. I felt this was a good value, beautiful ship, good service, small but comfortable balcony cabin with excellent room steward. and lots of closet space. Room service was very prompt. The food was quite good, no shortage for sure. We chose any time dining and that worked best for us. I felt the service was equal to the cruises where we have had assigned seating. The buffet could get crowded--we avoided it when possible.

The entertainment was excellent--we went to the show each evening. While Regal is a BIG ship, there were enough public spaces so it didn't feel like you were cramped with people. We took Princess tours at each port for convenience. Some were better then others but all were enjoyable. Our favorite port was Bar Harbor.

Boarding in NYC was fairly easy, disembarkation was fast; we booked a transfer to the airport through Princess.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BD

Cabin is smallish, but balcony makes it feel bigger. Plenty of storage. Bathroom small but adequate. Bedding comfortable. Good lighting. Excellent steward. Did not hear passengers in adjoining cabins, only occasionally from the hall.
