This was the first cruise for me and my wife. We had no idea what to expect, except for what our friends had told us and reading about others experiences. For the most part the information was pretty accurate. We did pack too much but that will change for the next cruise.

We left out of New Orleans (a day late because of hurricane Nate). It didn't turn out to be much of a hurricane, thank God. It did give us and extra day in New Orleans, which was great. I have to say that if you like crab cakes, try the Oceana Grill on Conti St. They have to be the best ever. We got a chance to explore the French Quarter which was a lot of fun and also Mardi Gras World where the floats and costumes are created for the Mardi Gras celebration.

Getting on and off the ship went very smoothy. They have it down to a science.

Premium Vista Balcony

Cabin 9C

The cabin was great!. A little larger than most with the larger balcony. I was surprised at how comfortable the bed was. A safe to keep your valuables and a mini fridge as well. The staff kept the room clean and tidy. Adequate closet space and enough drawers as well.

Port Reviews

New Orleans

Spent time in New Orleans on our own and explored the city. Went to the French Quarter and had the best crab cakes ever at The Oceana Grill on Conti St. All of their food was excellent.
