Sail Date: Oct 2017

We chose this cruise because we were limited to this particular week and wanted somewhere warm. We had cruised with Thomson several years ago and the Discovery is streets ahead of our previous ship.

We booked quite late and got a good deal including a good discount on a suite. This gave us some extras including access to the Concierge Lounge which offers free Wi-fi 24 hours a day plus tea and coffee.

We ate either in the main restaurant 47 or in Gallery 47 (the Italian restaurant) and the food and service were both excellent as was the choice. Even at busy times we never had to wait more than a few minutes. We had breakfast in 47 as well almost every day.

Cabin Review

Cabin Suite

Fabulous suite. Loads of storage space and very comfortable beds. The only downside is that we were immediately under the stage on the pool deck and it was noisy on the first night. We also got noise from sun beds being dragged out above us but really a minor irritation.
