We were looking to return to Royal Caribean for a much needed holiday. Having previously had a wonderful experience with Royal Caribean over 16 years, we were very dissapointed to join the Navagator of the Seas and find a ship so tired in many areas and in need of major investment. The presentation and quality of the food in the dining room also had a great deal of room for improvement. Our Junior suite was to have been a treat for us on what was meant to be a special vacation. The balcony glass, table and lounger were dirty with substancial bird fouling and was never cleaned during the 14 day trip until I did it myself. The suite itself had a couch which was way past it best. We expected better from the images we had seen before booking. In the bathroom you are promised an additional bath, however it is not made clear that there is no walk in shower and that the shower is over the bath, not ideal for the elderly or someone unsteady on their legs to have to climb over the side of the bath to have a shower. The overal experience was not up to the standards we expected did not fullfill the expectations we had. While other ships in the fleet might be better I certainly would not recommend or travel on The Navagator of the seas again.
