Wish we picked a longer cruise! Overall a great cruise with good food but one thing really kept me from having a fun ship experience.

They have really gotten out of control with the up-selling. Nobody wants to feel like they spent four days at the mall. Interrupting our dinner conversation to try to sell us cups or to take our photos is just plain rude. Having to run the spa sales table gauntlet to get to your cabin is unpleasant. Paying $9.50 for a glass of wine when I can buy the bottle for $6 is not reasonable. Not letting me off the ship until 10:30 if I don't pay extra for fast debarkation or Carnival shuttle is just petty. Yelling at us and heckling us to stop for a photo every time we got on and off the ship so they can then sell us said photo just ruins your vacation mood. By the end of the cruise, I was not buying things or ordering drinks as a matter of principle. It's the first time I have ever been on a cruise where I did not buy a single souvenir on the ship but they were so annoying I was not going to give them anything. Next cruise on Carnival, I will have t-shirts printed that say No...I don't want to buy that and I don't want you to take my picture. I will also bring a sign to put at the end of our dinner table.

We booked directly through Carnival so we were able to get on Lido deck. It is quiet but convenient to pools, hot tubs, bars, pizza, burritos, burgers, ice cream and buffet.
