Traveled with children

Over a year ago we booked the Oasis of the Seas with ports in St. Maarten, San Juan, and Labadee. We booked with several other Canadian families (we have cruised Disney with some of these friends previously and we ourselves had cruised each of the Disney boats) and we started planning and getting excited almost immediately!

Our must-haves when booking were: a new itinerary (we had only done the Caribbean on Disney) and at least 6 days/nights.

We were drawn to RCL as it was considered #2 for family cruises and we would be bringing our kids. Our son is 11 and our daughter is 14. Other kids in the group ranged from 8 to 15. The price was right - there was a sale for Canadians at the time, and my data-driven husband ran the numbers and even with add on costs like pop/soda, alcohol, etc., we were going to be saving money versus the Disney cruises.

Family Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin FO

Good size. These are double occupancy, but having a "kid cabin" worked well for us. They seem spacious because of the extra room under the window.

I don't want to comment on whether you feel the movement of the ocean more in these rooms as we had abnormal movement on our cruise.
