I choose this cruise because of the season (post high season) and fall foliage at peak; as well as the convenience of getting from airport to dock. This single (over 60) traveler had a great time enjoying some of the most beautiful towns on some of the most picturesque Canadian islands.
The variety and talent of the onboard entertainment was superb, each night it was a challenge to choose which of the shows to attend. We had a Broadway star (Donna Vivino !!), a versatile duo, Jose and Patty, whose repertoire must span over a thousand song and 4 decades ! This duo channeled great artists such as Neil diamond, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Nancy Sinatra. Their performances were great entertainment - they developed a following during my week on board the NCL Dawn.
We were also treated to a great production called "Elements" - composed of magic, acrobatics and music and dance !
I chose an inside cabin becuase I am a light sleeper. No noise or distractions. Cabin steward, Felix, was personable and professional. He addressed me by name every morning - I felt part of the NCL family. Room was immaculate and was cleaned and renewed every morning while I was at breakfast.
Convienent port to airport. I`ve visited Boston before; great town for historical touring and wonderful people !
Beautiful town with attractive homes and a church with a chair from HMS Victory.
Historic city on Price Edward Island. Did a "walkabout" photgraphing the homes and historical buildings in Canada`s "Birthplace of Confederation". Very picturesque.
Quebec City was the terminus of the cruise. I added 3 additional days after the cruise to see the city.Glad I did; saw the Citadelle de Quebec, the Frontenac hotel, the battlefields of the Plains of Abraham and the Saint - Foy, the fortifications of Quebec [Quebec City is the only walled city north of Mexico] and the Petit - Champlain Quartier.
