Having previously sailed with Celebrity on the Solstice in the Caribbean, we were likening one ship to the other and were very disappointed at the dummying down of many aspects of this cruise in penny pinching ways that do not go well with luxury cruising despite the increase in costs. No shoe polish, shower cap, luxury compliments in the bathroom, no slippers, etc etc etc. Penny pinching that cost little but is part of luxury cruising. The cruise staff are well trained and work hard but the membership benefits appear not to work as we booked a year in advance and still did not get the one category stateroom upgrade as a membership benefit, even the agent did not know about this eligibility. The food and table service was good, entertainment certainly not west end and would say a little disappointing. Would we use Celebrity again, I would say no as other cruise lines offer more luxury and are more fun. It,s a shame the formal nights are no longer.

Cabin 08

Looking over the heli pad, large area but lacking refinement and were unable to get a balcony despite booking a year previously. Disappointed.
