I choose this cruise for the potential of seeing great fall foliage colors. October 1 was a little early for the fall foliage this year. The October 11 cruise will be much better as the last couple days the leaves started to change color.
The embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. I was on board within 45 minutes of my arrival at the pier. On disembarkation, the luggage was laid out in groups easy to identify quickly. Exiting through customs went very quickly. The buses for airport transfers were lined up and ready to go.
The ship is very nice but shows her age a bit. Areas like the stairs by the pool going up to deck 10 showed wear and tear. The steps did not match and a few were well worn.
The cabin was a little dated but otherwise nice. In fact, this cabin had a lot more storage than any cabin inside or outside out my 18 cruises. My only complaint is that it is difficult to get in and out of the bed. The room is just a little too small for the bed. to get to either side you must squeeze by either a chair or a cabinet with a wide panel television sticking out.
The bathroom was also a little small. Their is practically no room for an average size person to sit on the toilet with your back to the seat. You have to accommodate a wall by sitting sideways.
Wine Tasting and Free Time in Camden tour was interesting. However, it was cut short by the cruise line thus making the tour rushed. We tasted 5 wines in about 25 minutes. No time to consider the products tasted. The tour also include a walk through of the winery which happened to be harvesting grapes at the time of our visit.
I could not find a tour that interested me in this port of call.
