We chose this cruise because we hadn't cruised in over 20 years and since we've never been to New England or Canada we felt that this would be the perfect cruise for us - and it was. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we're going again on the Grandeur on 10/19/17 from Baltimore. For us, the highlight of the cruise was visiting Bar Harbor, ME. Although our whale watching excursion was canceled due to "rough water" (of which we saw none) we were able to spend our newly freed up time browsing through the town and chatting with some of the shopkeepers. Everyone we came into contact with was very friendly and made you feel at home. Bar Harbor exudes the classic small town atmosphere and we absolutely loved it. Can't wait to go back.

Our only "disappointment" is that the food wasn't nearly as good as what we had on cruises that we took back in the 70's (dating ourselves here). Even though the food wasn't as good as it once was, it was still good and we looked forward to dinner every evening. We were thoroughly entertained at the shows. There were several shows in the theater that we thought we might skip, but we didn't and were very glad we went.

All in all, I would rate this cruise a 4.5 out of 5.

Interior cabin was small but very comfortable.

Baltimore

Embarking from Baltimore was a breeze. It took approximately 25 minutes from the time we arrived at the terminal to the time we boarded the ship.
