Oceania may not be for everyone but it is our first choice. We love the size, the ambience, the cabins, the food, etc. etc. After having cruised two dozen times on other mainstream lines (Princess, Celebrity, Norwegian) we never looked back once we tried "O". Food is a subjective topic but it is important to us to have high quality, properly prepared and presented choices. Perhaps we were exceptionally lucky but on this last cruise we did not have a single bad meal! We ate in almost all of the venues, specialty restaurants, main dining room, buffet, grill, and while not everything was perfect , the food and most of the service was above our expectations. The one area of disappointment for me was the lack of enriching and fun activities day or night. Although we don't require a lot of them, there were few activities that brought people together for fun or opportunities to meet others. The nightly entertaining 'Shows' are marginally acceptable at best and could certainly be improved. Fortunately, being entertained is not our priority and the other pros outweigh any negatives. We will continue to cruise on our favorite Oceania, and on our two favorite ships, Riviera and Marina.

Cabin Review

Penthouse Suite

Cabin PH1

The Penthouse Suite is spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The walk in closet has ample storage and the bathroom is spacious as well. The furniture, however, is starting to show signs of wear which will hopefully be addressed at the next dry dock next Spring.
