Cruise was good for the most part but a couple of things could have been handled better.

1.- in Germany I took the 12 hour Berlin tour, 6 hours round trip from ship to Berlin, then a quick 1 hour bus tour around the city and then dropped of in down town for 4 hours on own. This would have been fine if it wasn't Sunday. Apparently it's illegal for stores to open on Sundays in Germany so all we could do for 4 hours is look around souvenir shops or go to a restaurant as that was all that was open. If Viking had informed me of this, my wife and I would have taken one of the optional tours along the coast.

2.- 10 days before our cruise started we received an E-mail from Viking that our Bergen tour was canceled because the World Cup cycle races were taking place there. In lieu of our tour we were given a $200.oo ship board credit and a 1 hour harbor Cruise of

clean and comfortable as we expected. Lacked drawer space, we had more in the same cabin category on our Viking River Cruise.
