The ship was nice, the food and service were good, but we were very disappointed in the selection of activities on board. Most of the scheduled "activities" were only meant to generate SALES of one kind or another for the cruise line. It was either jewelry, watches, bingo cards, art auction, casino slot tournament ($$), fitness center massages/teeth whitening/expensive classes, or other "activities" that weren't really designed for the cruiser's enjoyment, but just to SELL to us once again. Sadly, we were a captive audience! By the 5th day of the 10-day cruise, we stopped having expectations that there would be any activities that were actually fun, intellectually stimulating, or not costing us more money. Only twice during the 10 days, there was an interesting lecture by Clive Mayhew. That was the only bright spot in the daytime lineup. For this reason, Celebrity was hugely disappointing this time, and it will be a long time before we circle back to Celebrity again.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah 1A

Cabin 1A

The cabin was quite nice. It was quiet, roomy enough, and well attended by the cabin steward. The balcony was nice, and had 2 chairs and a small table.

The bathroom was roomy, had plenty of storage space, and the shower was nice with plenty of hot water.

We enjoyed the pillow chocolates, but were disappointed that Celebrity doesn't seem to provide any towel animals to greet us when we returned from a long day off the ship.
