The river cruise allows one to see Europe, both the small villages and large cities without having to spend every night in a different hotel and hours on a bus without anything to do other than sit. River cruising is intimate and relaxing. I would have liked the top deck to be open more but with the locks and bridges that was not possible. The on ship entertainment was nice, the food and service in the dining room was topnotch. The daily tours were informative and the tour guides had a good command of the English language, were always knowledgeable and eager to share with us their area knowledge of the area. I liked that there was always a tour group that went at a slower pace for the individuals who were not able to physically keep up, there were quite a few people with walking aids on the trip and they were treated the same as the other guests and had the same opportunities for the tours as the others due to having the slower paced group.
The rooms are very small, with very little room to relax other than on the bed. Plenty of closet/storage area. The bathroom is also small but the design makes it accessible for all your needs.
