We heard from many folks that the Viking cruises were outstanding and highly recommended. Having a stop every day with included tours as well as optional tours made it an experience to remember. Everyone on board was marvelous. Very courteous and helpful. The tour guides were all the best. Very friendly and lots of good information. Meals were very well done with the open seating. One improvement would have been more local influenced meal options. All in all a trip of a lifetime.
Everything was coordinated from meeting us at the airport to leaving the boat in Budapest. It was great having the upper deck to enjoy the sailing. Even the 100+ locks were a fun experience.
Probably the only "fly in the ointment{" was the glass blowing demonstration. They offered to engrave and ship items to us if we ordered instead of taking the items with us. Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts to contact them, we were unable to get a response or the glassware and had to dispute the credit card charges. This certainly wasn't Vikings fault. They made an effort to have the vendor contact us with no success.
Cabin Review
Veranda Suite
Great room(s). Having a separate "sitting" room made it perfect. Having the veranda was great in the mornings with coffee and a danish. Having fruit and beverages every day made it even better.
Our only complaints were the limited storage for unpacking and the continuous problems receiving several channels as well as several movies. These were minor issues that didn't really detract from the overall experience.
Loved having the laundry included with the catagory of cabin we chose.
