Loved this cruise ex Vancouver/return. 15 days of relaxation. Wasn't sure how the 5 cruise days to Hawaii would be. It was wonderful!! In fact if we had to stay on for longer days before reaching the islands, that would have been great!! 4 days - 4 islands was tougher than I thought it would be, but honestly 1 day in each port was enough. Truthfully, I could do without the big island all together and not be disappointed. The 5 days back were just as relaxing as the first 5 days. Sea days both ways were great as always lots to do. The cruise director JC and his wonderful assistant cruise members were awesome. Aris, Emily, Kevin, Jess and Jody "with a Y" were fabulous. Would not hesitate to do again in the near future. Ship in need of some cosmetic repairs as showing her age a bit. Love the size of the Star Princess. Everyone really does feel like "family" on this ship.

Port Reviews

Vancouver

Very easy Embarkation point for us. This trip there were 3 ships in port and we still found boarding very timely and organized.

Maui

First time to Lahaina. Typical tourist shops and local fare. Large Banyon Tree in the centre was the highlight of this port. Might have seen more if had gone on a shore excursion but nothing of interest other than perhaps snorkelling. However, I am not a fan of boat snorkelling so was nervous of some other reviews that I had read which had said that not always able to get into the bays due to wind. Next time would probably sign up for snorkelling with the turtles.
