We chose this cruise based on what we got for the price. What an awesome experience for our first time. The ship was wonderful and the staff--especially the dining room and kitchen--were amazing. My husband has food allergies and they catered to his every need. He never had a issue.

The shore excursions with the local guides really brought the local history to life. Every one of them was excellent. We normally did the excursion in the morning so that we then had free time to explore on our own in the afternoon if time allowed.

We chose the standard suite for the rate and it was definitely the best fit for us. We had plenty of room and why have a balcony when you can only see one side of the river? You need to be up top so you can see both!

Bratislava

Oue tour guide was very knowledgable but I feel like we were given a tour of only the parts of the city that they wanted us to see...that we didn't see the true Bratislava. We were driven up to the area where the foreign ambassadors lived, then to the castle and then we were given a walking tour of the old town. Really enjoyed the old town.

Vienna

Part of my disappoint was maybe because Vienna just didn't live up to what I thought it would be as a city. It was very modern, very white and very busy. Our tour guide here was probably also the least knowledgable and just didn't know how to interact with us.

Cesky Krumlov

What a beautiful city!! Just seeing this tiny gem in the Czech Republic makes me want to visit more of this country. The people were very friendly and loved to talk, something my husband enjoyed greatly. We had a wonderful lunch at Papa's--arrive early.

Passau

Passau was a really fun little city and our guide gave us lots of little tidbits that we were able to follow up on later in the afternoon when we went exploring on our own.

Durnstein (Krems)

What a special little village. Our ship only stopped for a couple hours in the morning before Melk but what a gem! The beautiful blue tower of the abbey is so photographic with the castle ruins on the hilltop behind. We loved popping into the little shops!
