We have cruised with NCL 8 times in the past 10 years. We chose this cruise for the itinerary. This was a unique way to cross the Atlantic. We really enjoyed the stops in Iceland, St John's, and Portland. We also stopped Lerwick where the available activities were limited due to the time of year.

We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express near Victoria for 4 nights before the cruise. This was a great base from which to see London. The location was ideal. We took a bus tour that included a stop at Stonehenge to get to the port.

The Jade was recently refurbished and was very pleasant. All public areas and cabins were updated. I did have a problem with the casino ventilation system which was not up to the task. We really do not like the smell of smoke. It was not pleasant for us to be anywhere near the forward side of the casino (adjacent to the Stardust Theater). At times it was unpleasant in the rear of the deck 6 portion of the theater. NCL really needs to fix this.
