We loved this new ship. This was our 16th cruise so we have become somewhat "opinionated" about what makes for a good cruise. We had exceptional service and food for the entire 13 nights. We boarded the ship around noon after planning our own transportation with another couple from Rome (130euro total) Embarkation was quick and soon eating at the lovely buffet that we enjoyed throughout the cruise.

Our balcony stateroom was very nice. Great bed/pillows and balcony seemed ample. Bathroom was also larger with glass shower doors. I missed a makeup (magnifier mirror) at desk. Not a lot of drawers but there was storage above the bed. It was a little difficult to reach, but worked.

The food was pretty good in dining room - not always the best. However, we always left full so can't complain. Enjoyed Oceanview Cafe on deck 14 - had great selection and accommodated all the people. Never had problems waiting for food or a table. The pasta and omelette stations were wonderful. The room service had more options for breakfast - including hot breakfast - not just the continental options. Enjoyed room service on mornings when leaving early for ship excursions.

Cabin Review

Cabin 7314 was an aft balcony cabin. We were not too far from elevators and easy to get to all food stations at the aft. There was ample room with all amenities other than the magnifier make up mirror that I enjoy on some ships. The balcony was a little larger and bathroom great size with nice glass shower doors. Would have liked a hand held shower too, but survived without. Nice large flat screen t.v. and many options for news (FOX) and movies. Best cabin we have had with a few amenities missing. The closet was good size but should have been a few inches wider as some hangers hung out. Room was very quiet and never heard any one unless we had balcony door open.
