After waiting with bated breath for weeks before my sailing, anxiously watching cruise after cruise on various ships get either prolonged, canceled or delayed and shortened,I finally got to cruise day.
I have been on her sister ships the Conquest and Glory and loved them and was excited to try out the Liberty. Embarkation went really quickly and smoothly. I arrived at the port around 11:30 and was aboard by noon. note, they dont have the lovely BING that lets you know you are officially on board, instead they use the IPADS.
Overall I had a great time on my solo cruise. my cabin was designated as a 1A- upper/lower but it had portholes and a twin bed and sofa instead of an upper pullman. Nice! my cabin steward was so nice and did a great job with my cabin.
It has portholes and a sofa as an extra bed rather than an upper pullman. Nice for those who dont want to or are unable to climb up to an upper.
It was really cool at sailaway to see people in the waterfront restaurants and park whistling and waving at us as we cruised by.
Not my favorite port. Too many pushy people bumrushing you. Even had someone wanting to braid my very short, layered hair. Not the friedliest bunch of people. I loved the conch fritters I got at a little store though
It was beautiful! Loved taking a swim in the gorgeous blue water. Be sure to take water shoes though because it is a bit rocky in the water. The included food was tasty.Cute shops with sovenirs, and a couple charming little bars to buy drinks. My favorite port by far on this cruise.
