Had to choose a cruise at the last minute and this one worked out the best. The ship was only 2 years old and very clean, modern, and beautiful! It has been years since we sailed NCL as we are partial to Celebrity but all in all very pleased. The food was especially good and there were so many restaurants from which to choose. We had a 3 dinner Dining Package paid for in advance. (Or we thought was paid for in advance)! NCL charges a FEE per person even though you paid for a package in advance! This is added to your onboard account. We paid for a drink package in advance also which we learned does not include their coffee bar. This package does NOT include the gratuities! A gratuitie is charged for every drink you order and appears nightly on your bill. They also add $12.99 per person per day for total gratuities for each day of the cruise. I'm not necessarily complaining but I was not aware of all these additional charges!! My onboard account was loaded with them! Now alternatively you can eat totally free in 3 restaurants without fees if you stay away from specialty restaurants! Just be aware of the guidelines before you book!

We really liked the Splash H2O adults only area on Deck 16 with a bar and 2 hot tubs. Very nice and no screaming kids! This ship has a HUGE water park area for kids also.
