Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Had been wanting to take a New England/Canadian cruise for a couple of years, so chose this cruise because it offered a date that worked for us. We’ve cruised w/this line before and like the size of this ship. Some thoughts:

Embarkation: Not the smoothest we’ve ever encountered. Lots of long lines, and there was a computer snafu, which caused a major back-up for boarding the ship. Rooms were ready early, however, luggage was delivered in a timely manner and no one was left behind!

Ship: Despite the numerous negative comments I’ve read, we thought the ship was in great shape and were commenting on how well the crew maintains it. We saw crew members on their knees, shining brass on bar stools and stair rails; men outside the ship, while in port, washing the windows. Was there some rust on the exterior, here and there? Yes, but, overall, the public areas looked great!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Cabin was spacious w/adequate areas for storage. Appreciated in-room safe, hair dryer & numerous hangers in closet. Bed & pillows were clean & adequate. Bathroom was also clean & had good storage. Shower, while somewhat small, had great pressure and had an adjustable/removable shower head, which was easy to use. Towels were very nice. Our balcony was clean and had updated chairs and table. Room was located close to the elevators that were mid-ship and there were no noise issues. Room attendant was friendly and did a good job.
