The Queen Mary 2 is a magnificent ship, our cabin and steward was wonderful. The late embarkation was quick and easy except that some ships elevators were not working, which was a common problem throughout the cruise.
The fifth level balcony cabin was great. The balcony is not much use unless in port or very carm seas. The signage to the mini bar was poor some things are free and some are charged. We only realised that the bottled water was charged when it was noted on our room bill. We were also disappointed when we ordered a bath robe to take home. We were told $US45 and charge $US55. We quaried the cost and were told Cunard charges what is on your account not what price you were told or marked on the order form. Not good enough.
The only other problem we had with the cabin was that the door to the balcony rattled in windy weather. We had a person come to fix the door but he bad little improvement.
