As this was our first cruise we were a little bit apprehensive of what to expect. So after much deliberation between my wife and I we eventually settled for the Thomson Dream. This being a slightly smaller vessel than others viewed, and decided on after having read many posts about the Dream on a few sites. To us novices we found it a bit smaller than we thought it was, but were quite happy about that. We picked a Cruise and Stay holiday for our first adventure. We flew from Edinburgh to Corfu with Thomson doing the Aegean Shores, no hitches at all pleased with this flight. On arrival at Corfu we were ushered to the embarkation hall where we found the whole process very simple and easy. On joining the ship our luggage was waiting at our cabin door. Our cabin was comfy clean and quiet all the time. The food on board was very good along with the service received. Plenty to do on board at nights, can't say much about day time as never on board. We never used the ships tours as we like to do our own thing. Overall we throughly enjoyed our first experience cruising the seas, in fact we liked it so much that we've booked again with Thomson this time on the Discovery and we're heading on the Baltic Experience next June.

Our stay was at the Sensimar Grand Mediterraneo Resort & Spa by Atlantica in Corfu.

We again throughly enjoyed this hotel, food excellent, staff very accommodating, facilities excellent, the only thing I would point out here is depending on where your allocated it does have a steep hill up to the hotel complex, but not to worry pick up the phone and call reception and within a few minutes a golf buggy will arrive and transport you up the hill if required. Entertainment at night was very good, but it can get slightly crowded so you need to get there early for the nightly entertainment. The complex has a pebbled beach, not to everyone's liking, and you get there by the Gondalla Train, or walk down about, well a lot of stairs. Local buses come into the complex, prices very reasonable.
