My wife and I are both 46 years old and to celebrate our 18th anniversary we wanted to take the Freedom to Jamaica and the Grand Cayman Islands. We flew in to Fort Lauderdale out of St Louis MO,on Southwest air line total cost 486 dollars round trip for both us on October the 3rd and had a room at the Sleep Inn in Dana Beach cost 81 dollars booked through AAA.We called the hotel for a free shuttle when we got our luggage and only waited about 15 minutes before they got there. Our room was great the pool was great the Italian restaurant across the street was great. The free breakfast the next morning was awesome not just donuts. They had a waffle grill and batter made up bagels biscuit and gravy all sorts of danishes donuts cereal fruits and fruit juices ext.We then caught the 11 o'clock free shuttle and went to the ship and was there in ten minutes or so.Then we stood in line for and hour and five minutes Got on the ship and to the cafe at 1205.Food was good couldn't go to our rooms till 130 didn't get our luggage till around 4.Did the mustard drill walked around checked it out.Dinner was great we had a four seat-er table with a couple from Kentucky and we became great cruise friends. Then that night we did some gabling at the 21 table won about 70 dollars but lost it back and then some the next few nights.Plaid bingo and went to some of the shows the comedian was good the show about New Orleans was not our thing.Pool always closed early and slide was almost never open (windy). Our cabin 8341 was in the middle of the ships inside on the 8th

Cabin 8d

Our cabin 8341 was in the middle of the ships inside on the 8th deck. This was our first cruise on carnival and with this size room I will never go back to the tiny rooms on royal Caribbean. Our room was nice size and the storage was very adequate. When we got to our cabin we found it stocked with razors shampoo,we even had the robes to ware and a little fridge.
