We chose our cruise because it had so many Mediterranean ports. We started in Rome, visited Livorno, Cannes, Marseilles, Barcelona, Palma Majorca, Sardinia, Malta, Sicily and Naples. I think I'm missing something, but every day we were in a new port. We enjoyed it all.

We were on the Spirit. Initially we were very disappointed with our balcony cabin. I had wanted a handicapped room, I have a placard, but after placing my deposit I was told that the ship had no handicapped balcony rooms, I knew stepping in and out of the bathroom would be an issue, and it was, but we wanted a balcony, the room seemed smaller than other ships I gave been on, and there were only 4 small drawers for us. Not sufficient. But we made the best of it.

The food in the complimentary dining rooms was ok, sometimes better. Always good desserts. The buffet offers good choices. Many choices and lots of fresh fruit. Our cruise was offered with a package of 4 special restaurant dinners, and each was a wonderful and delicious dining experience,

It's an older ship. The room seemed smaller than other Norwegian balconies I gave been in. It seemed a bit worn, not enough drawers, but good king size bed and good pillows.

Instead of a chiller filled with booze, a small refrigerator would have been nice.

The towels were good, soft, absorbent and large. And changed daily. We adjusted to the room and the storage.

Port Reviews

Florence (Livorno)

Lots of walking. Had a great lunch on our own.
