I travelled with my parents and the three of us shared a cabin. We had cruised on the Equinox two years previously, so we pretty much knew what to expect.

Embarkation was excellent. Although we were advised to board at 2 pm we turned up at 11 am and were onboard within 20 minutes. No queues at all. We had our luggage by 3 pm. The ship is beautiful and we enjoyed the amenities.

We saw a big difference in the menu selections since our previous cruise two years ago. They have shortened the menu and the daily selections always used to feature a steak. Now, there are many nights when there was none listed. I never asked - maybe if I had I might have gotten one. Whenever they served beef - it was amazing but some evenings the choice was very poor. We were on a table for 8 and really enjoyed the group of people that we met. The service was excellent - we found all the staff very pleasant - except for the Cafe al Bacio - where they were quite dour.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1B

Cabin 1B

Standard balcony cabin. Enough space for 3 adults without feeling cramped. Their overbed storage is crazy. No one likes having to stand on the bed to reach it!
