  • Sail Date: Sep 2017
  • Destination: the Western Mediterranean
  • Cabin Type: Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

To celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday.....we ordered room service breakfast for the morning of her birthday and mimosas to enjoy on the balcony hung the order on our cabin door....almost an hour and a half went by we called room service. No clue where our order was when the breakfast did arrive it was atrocious....very poor indeed.

The ports of call were poorly described Nice was not Nice but Villfranche and a fee was required to get to Nice....and so it continued some tenders were included in price but the shuttle boat into Venice 22 dollars when a 48 hour water bus pass cost about 30 euros......this was the theme throughout. We met some great people on this cruise who encouraged us not to judge cruising by this ship. Too late for that sadly from our perspective.

Cannot rate the staff highly enough but the underlying remitt of RC unfortunately deflects from that.....as mentioned previously met lots of folks waxing lyrical about their experiences but they like me were underwhelmed with this particular cruise. I did not know what to expect from a cruise director....the opinion of seasoned cruiser was he was invisible on this ship.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony
Cabin E2 9244

Dated I was ok with size etc but my wife was quite disappointed. Once we were unpacked our bags were our constant companions for the next 12 days.....like we never really unpacked.

The staff throughout the cruise were excellent RC however continually seem to have their hand in the pockets of their guests 48 bucks for a 30 minute boot camp in fitness area, and demanding a fee to take you what was described in the literature as the port of call......not good....not good at all.
