Chose this cruise to experience the Harmony of the seas. The destination of the ship changed from Eastern Carib to Western Carib due to hurricanes wiping out our original ports of call. The ship is very, very long. 17 decks is no problem so long as the elevators are working and partially full. With 6027 passengers on board the elevators were mostly full. The on-board shops are the same as other RCI ships, maybe a bit more expensive. Everything is a hard sell and turns off most, except for the treasure hunters at the $10 junk give away on the center isle. The shows were excellent without exception. Getting on and off the ship was well orchestrated and courteous. The European cabin staff were dour and inattentive and provided only the required actions to maintain the cabins. I missed the fun surprises the Island cabin stewards provided on previous cruises. The new guys don't play games, just clean, and not very well at that either. I did enjoy the perks of Star Class and the Coastal Kitchen access. I'll choose a smaller ship next time, I'm getting to old to walk that much.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite - 1 Bedroom
Cabin GS 7654
RCI screwed up the Grand Suite by installing a separation wall between the bedroom and the living room, They did install back to back large screen TV's on this wall. Then the brilliant twerps placed a longish table between the sofa and the wall which provided ample opportunity to bang your legs on as you tried to pass by. The passage way between the bed and the wall was minimal, good thing they didn't place anything there. The floors in the bathroom were dark colored ceramic tile probably to hide the blood from your bleeding legs. I couldn't tell if the steward ever mopped the floor. The grout between the tiles should have been an off white color, my grout was mostly black as dirt had built up in the spaces between the tiles. I would advise bringing slippers when walking on these floors. Plenty of storage as the cabinets had not been changed from previous GS suite designs. The sliding door seals whistled when the AC kicked in, so bring sleeping pills ear ear plugs.
