We chose this trip for the ports of call in the Adriatic. We had cruised with NCL 9 times in the past but not recently. What a surprise to see how this cruise-line has deteriorated lately into a lower tier mass-market cruise!
It started out when we saw our TINY broom closet-sized cabin on the lowest passenger deck, with a port hole that had to be opened and closed manually. We had hoped to be near our traveling companions on deck 9 since they had not cruised before, but NCL refused to relocate us or consider an upgrade in spite of our past loyalty. This caused numerous problems meeting-up with our friends. Worst cabin we have ever had, out of 40 cruises! and we have sailed on all the major cruise lines.
We found RAFFLES to be terribly over-crowded, especially at breakfast when we literally had to fight through the mobs of people looking for food. Often-times there were no seats to be had until we walked outside to the back deck. We thought the food was very average...unfortunately, vast quantities of mediocre, often unrecognizable food. UGH

Family Oceanview Porthole
We HATED our cabin which was on the lowest psgr deck and all the way forward, miles away from everywhere we wanted to go. We walked our legs off! As mentioned, this was the smallest cabin we have ever had out of 40 ships we have sailed on....AND it was an outside cabin! I wish we had taken an inside cabin at half the price. It was the same size as our outside cabin. AWFUL!!
Had to manually open and close the porthole every morning and night. We asked for a picture window and got this instead. No chance of upgrade either.
