Let me start off by saying that this is not my first trip on the ocean. My family has been cruising for 16 years and we have enjoyed a few different cruise lines. This was our 13th cruise and I was excited for our first Royal Caribbean cruise. I have to be honest this will be our families last experience with Royal Caribbean. We stayed in an inside cabin and I have to be honest it was the best inside cabin we have ever had. The layout was wonderful and the bathroom layout made a small room seem so much larger. I wish all ships took this information and ran with it. But sadly this is where my good review ends. We ate at Johnny Rockets once for lunch and once for breakfast. The food was wonderful but the service was awful. Our waitress at breakfast was down right rude to us and did not return to our table to refill my drink after being asked twice. Than at diner the table next to us the waitress told them that if they had purchased the ultimate dining package that they received a free meal at Johnny Rockets. We had purchased this plan and when I asked about it was told no that was not the deal even though she had just told the table next to us this. There was some serious confusion on this ultimate dining package as well. NOONE seems to know how it works. I was told by the rep before leaving home that Royal Caribbean would make my reservations for me and than I could move them around as I needed to and all reservations would be waiting for me on a paper in my cabin. So when we ventured to the cabin no paper, also checked the tv for the reservations and they were no there. When we than walked down to the reservation desk they didn't know how the reservations worked either, he flagged down a manager who also had no idea and took us to the head waiter in the silk dining room who also had no idea. So I went ahead and made all of the reservations myself on the tv in our room. I am just confused on the fact that no one could explain the process to me. Than came Cats the musical. I was so excited a real live musical... The theater was packed but by intermission almost half of the people had left and by the close of the show the theater only have about a third of the original people. I didn't understand how this musical had been so popular on Broadway it is not good at all. Now the other show in the theater was wonderful, the original Royal Caribbean show Come fly with Me. But the Oasis of Dreams diving show was again bad, with a bad hard to follow storyline. The comedy shows were great but for a mega ship the comedy theater held a very small amount of guest. There was always a line and never enough tickets. The ice show was so wonderful we went back twice to see it. The sand artists was amazing. I had a problem with the game show, trivia type of entertainment. They were held in small bars and even when going a half hour in advance there was never any seating. Room service had a charge on it which I am not used to and did not like since The buffet was closed by 8:30 each night and the only other food option was pizza or small not good finger sandwiches. The pizza was good thank goodness, but the staff would not give out more than 2 pieces to any one person at a time. Weird. And the drinks on board were a bit of a confusion for us as well. The included drinks were iced tea, lemonade, and some sort of fruit water which was different each day. That was fine but the only place to get these were in the pizza place and the sandwich shop. When we went to Chops and I tried to get a lemonade I was told that the only options were soda and coffee or a drink. So I asked for a soda but when I told them that I did not have a drink package they told me that I could not have a soda only water. What??? Why couldn't I pay for a $4 soda if I wanted one with my meal? Because we were sailing in September and not sure of hurricanes I did not book all of my excursions before getting onboard. I looked over the excursions and decided on a side by side jeep tour in Jamaica. Now I am not a small woman and am sensitive to the weight limits and other limits on any excursion. I went up to the excursion desk on day 1 to book our excursion and the Australian "gentleman" I use that term loosely, said to me " the weight limit on this excursion is 265lbs and I am guessing that you exceed that by more than a few pounds" . WHAT.. RUDE... There are ways of saying this to a person, like for instance There are a few restrictions like 48 inchs and 265 lbs does everyone in your party meet these guidelines. He essentially called me fat. I was hot, so I asked for a manager and was refused the manager. Again, WHAT? There is no other word for the service level on most of this ship but rude. I met rude staffer after rude staffer. If this is a mega ship experience than count me out. I am used to Disney service and I will never again cruise with anyone else after this. After paying for the specialty dining which was good but not as good as the regular dining room on Disney, I could have paid $100 person and cruise with the mouse. Just not worth the $$ I spent.

Cabin Review

Large Interior Stateroom

Cabin N

Love the cabin, the set up made it feel roomy and the bathroom layout was superior to any other I have seen in the industry.
