Lisbon was a wonderful city from which to embark and Barcelona was a perfect final port because there is so much to do in both of those cities. We chose this particular cruise because we wanted to explore southern Spain. The visit to Maipe Andalusian stud farm in Cartagena was exceptional, the owner and his family could not have been more charming and welcoming. We were all surprised that the experience included a flamenco dancer as well, it realties a memorable excursion.

In my opinion the ports of Portmiao and Cadiz were a bit underwhelming... I wish one of those ports had been eliminated and we could have had two days in Malaga. The only reason I rated the cruise very good as opposed to excellent was because of these two weaker ports.

The dining in all venues on board the ship was excellent and the pasta was truly superb. The wait staff was well trained and eager to please. We looked forward to being greeted by cheery Rodele and his team every morning. My only slight criticism of the dining service is that in La Terrazzo and La Champagne the courses were served too quickly...I had barely put my fork down before the next course was served.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite 1

Cabin G1

The layout of the cabin is terrific. I loved the two decks, the amazing walk in closet as well as the desk/office area. It was a real treat to stay in such a spacious suite. The linens and towels were in pristine condition.

Please note however that some of the furnishings are in need of updating/replacing. Example: the seat cushion on the upholstered chair in living room was almost flat (because it was so worn and packed down) and the back cushion was so worn that feathers were actually coming out of the upholstery.

I am not sure how many passengers appreciate the bidet in the bathroom but I for one would rather eliminate the bidet and have that space allocated to more counter top space.
