Sail Date: Sep 2017

We sailed for 18 days from San Francisco to New York via the Panama Canal. Prior to the cruise we had a one day tour of Muir Woods and Sonoma, with lunch in Sonoma City - a lovely small town.

Embarkation and disembarkation were the only disappointments, and Regent is not at fault. The 3rd party handler in San Francisco failed to provide transportation to the ship for the majority of passengers. And the New York Cruise Terminal made a two day mess of disembarkation, resulting in some passengers missing their scheduled tour of New York City.

Port Reviews

Puerto Quetzal (Antigua)

This is not in Antigua, but in Guatemala. We took Auto Safari to a private animal reserve. Beautiful flowers and vegetation. Loved the colors and the tourist centre located at the cruise ship dock.

Cabo San Lucas

Extremely hot. As much as Cabo is in a very beautiful location, there's not much in the way of interesting tours available.

Corinto

Nicaragua experience not as good as Guatemala and Costa Rica
