We have sailed with Silversea since 2001, only on SHADOW and WHISPER. Wanted to sail on the new MUSE, with just the best of all itineraries. We sailed on the ship from Aug 20-Sep 28 (3 segments).

Silversea is changing their dining situation. This ship comes with 6 different dining options, of which on our segments one had to make a reservation for each night before you boarded the ship. Once on board it became a real problem to secure a reservation in the restaurants unless you had a great Butler who assisted.

We've learned two of the restaurants will soon be turned into open seating restaurants; go to dinner when you wish and meet new friends there for dinner. With the situation when we sailed, you had to have a set time for each restaurant and could not invite friends one might have met over cocktails.

Too many negatives to list. For those of you have traveled in a Silver Suite on WHISPER and SHADOW, please be advised to learn how the accommodation has been drastically changed on the MUSE. IKEA has taken over the decor; not a drawer in the closet. I wanted to depart the ship the moment we were shown our suite.
