The NCL Escape had some wonderful things, but a few flaws also. We were really looking forward to the ropes course and it didn't disappoint. We had a great time doing the different challenges. The waterslides were lots of fun. The wait for doing both of those activities was not long at all. Before going we had a little concern that those activites would be so crowded that it wouldn't be worth doing and that was not the case at all.
My biggest problem with the Escape is the location of the casino. The casino is located on Deck 7 in mid-ship. There is an open foyer leading down to Deck 6 which houses the art gallery, the atrium (where many activities happen), guest services, and several other venues. Because of the smoking in the casino it was not possible to walk through Deck 6 without the heavy smell of smoke. It was extremely unpleasant.
The Manhattan, a complementary dining room, was wonderful. The buffet was pretty good, although the desserts were not very good.
The cabin was nice. We had three adult women and did not feel as though we were stumbling over each other.. There was also plenty of storage for all our stuff. The lack of drawers did make it a little harder to keep track of belongings. One blog/review I read had suggested bringing folding canvas storage boxes. It would have been useful.
