after having engine failure on the star in december we booked this one as a replacement for our anniversary, birthdays and retirement for my husband cruise. what a fantastic ship the entertainment was brilliant the staff are all friendly and helpful. The food is varied and good. We did a behind the scenes tour which doesn't sound that interesting but it gives you and understanding of the food requirements for such a large ship with the different provision areas and freezers, refrigerators on board. the laundry was a massive experience the automatic ironing and folding machine for the bed sheets is fantastic and when we met the chefs making bread what a glorious aroma. The tours were well varied and well organised so you could do your own thing or book an organised tour. the only downside as pointed out previously is the lack of elevators and escalators on the ship. When the ship is in port 1 elevators is blocked off for disabled which limits the amount for able bodied to use when getting off ship or going to dine and the difference once everyone is off is unbelievable - so quick.
